Happy Sunday
Good evening. It’s Sunday night and a new week is right around the corner.
I started my day with a breakfast of eggs, sausage, hash browns, bagel, fruit, and coffee!
You may have noticed I’ve been eating terribly lately. Jesse and I have been eating out a lot and honestly, I just can’t control myself when we do. More on this at the end of the post.
After breakfast and some time to digest, I went on a 4-mile run. It was great! The weather was very nice and the run went well. I held a 11:39 pace for the 4 miles. I’m glad my mileage is starting to ramp back up.
Due to the big breakfast I wasn’t really interested in much lunch. I ran some errands including going to the grocery store.
When I got back I divided up two boxes of cereal for us. I decided to divide it up right away because it’s too easy to overeat when you pour from the box. Each of these containers holds 200 calories worth of cereal. Easy to grab, eat, and stay in control.
I had about a cup of cereal as my lunch/snack.
Dinner tonight was simple spaghetti. I added a little leftover shaved parm to mine.
I also decided to use up two very ripe bananas and make banana bread. I hated to just throw them out.
Flour, baking powder, and salt.
Smashed banana, sugar, 1/4 c canola oil and yogurt.
Dough!
I love making quick breads. They’re so good and so easy!
Well, as I was saying earlier Jesse and I have been eating out way too much. Eating out just always leads to bad eating and/or overeating for me.
This morning we decided to give ourselves a challenge. The challenge is to not eat out at all for 30 days! OMG! It’s going to be so very hard, but we think we’re up for it.
I stocked our pantry well with my grocery trip today so hopefully we won’t be too tempted to go out. If we make it 30 days without eating out we will both be rewarded with either cash or something we’ve been wanting to buy. Wish us luck!
Time to finish up getting ready for the week. Goodnight!

The banana bread looks great. How about a detailed recipe?
